Obverse description Obverse of this wire kopeck depicts a mounted equestrian figure of the Tsar, shown in profile facing right, armed with a lance directed downward toward a fallen figure or serpent beneath the horse — the traditional St. George-type motif common to Muscovite coinage. The crowded field bears the Cyrillic mint and date letters К-Ч (indicating a specific year within the reign) and the abbreviated mint name МОС-КВА (Moskva/Moscow). The flan is of characteristic irregular, elongated oval form produced by the wire-cutting and hammer-striking method, resulting in partial legends visible around the central design.
