| Obverse description | Equestrian effigy of the Tsar depicted as an armoured horseman, shown in right profile at a gallop, lance couched beneath his arm in the manner of Saint George. Cyrillic mintmark letters К and Ч appear to the left and right of the rider, with МОС and КВА distributed around the field beneath the horse's hooves, denoting the Moscow mint.
