| Obverse description | A mounted horseman depicted in right profile at full gallop, wielding a downward-pointed spear — the iconic kopeck design from which the denomination derives its name. The rider and horse are rendered in the bold, stylised manner characteristic of Russian wire money of the period. The Cyrillic mint letter Н appears in the field beneath the horse's hooves, serving as a mint or die identifier. The flan is irregular in outline, typical of the chekanka wire-money technique in which a silver wire blank was hammered between two dies. |
