| Obverse description | Central device consists of the archiepiscopal arms displayed within an ornately cartouched oval shield, surmounted by the episcopal hat (galero) with pendant tassels and the archiepiscopal cross and crozier as regalia. The heraldic shield bears the quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg impaled with the personal arms of Max Gandolf von Kuenburg. The Latin legend of the issuer's abbreviated titulature encircles the design, commencing at approximately 13 o'clock. |
