Obverse description Facing figure of Hanuman depicted in squatting or striding posture, oriented to the right, rendered in the bold and stylized relief characteristic of early Vijayanagara copper coinage. The deity is shown with characteristic simian features, with limbs clearly articulated against the flat, unadorned field. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck production of the period.
