| Obverse description | Horse standing to right in profile, rendered in a schematic provincial style with clearly articulated legs and raised head. A punch or symbol appears in the upper field above the horse's back. The design is executed in low relief on an irregular, roughly circular flan typical of lead issues of the Andhra period. The field surface shows natural patination consistent with ancient lead alloy. |

| Additional information |
The Andhrabhrityas — sometimes rendered as the "servants of the Andhras" — were a subordinate dynasty operating in the shadow of the Satavahana kingdom, issuing lead coinage that circulated in the Deccan during a period when the Satavahanas themselves were fragmenting under pressure from the Western Kshatrapas. Lead was not a fallback material in this region; it was a deliberate regional choice, with the Deccan's abundant galena deposits making it an economically rational medium for low-denomination exchange well before and throughout the early centuries CE.
