Obverse description Crude hammered billon flan bearing a bold Devanagari legend in the field. The inscription 'śri mahipa[la]' is rendered in stylized Devanagari characters that fill the entire obverse surface, executed in a thick, angular relief typical of north Indian Rajput coinage of the 12th century. The lettering occupies the full field with no distinct border, and the surfaces show the characteristic irregular flatness of hand-struck issues. The artistic style reflects the degenerate but vigorous epigraphic tradition common to Rajputana jitals of this period.
