Obverse description Highly stylised humped bull (zebu) facing left, rendered in a schematic Devanagari-influenced artistic tradition typical of late Ghurid coinage. The legend 'sri mahamada sama' appears above the bull in Devanagari characters, invoking the sultan's name in a Sanskritised form. Various subsidiary symbols are distributed across the field, positioned over the jhul (decorative caparison cloth draped over the bull's body). The design is executed in bold, deeply cut relief characteristic of hammered billon jitals of this period, with an irregular flan consistent with hand-struck production.
