Obverse description Elephant depicted in profile facing left, rendered in a stylized, schematic manner typical of post-Ghaznavid billon coinage of the region. The animal's four legs are shown as vertical strokes beneath a broad body, with the trunk and tusks discernible at the head. The Arabic mint name Kurzuwan (كرزوان) appears as a legend in the upper field above the elephant's back. The entire design is enclosed within a dotted or beaded border, characteristic of hammered jital coinage of this period.

Reverse description Three-line Arabic inscription arranged horizontally within a rectangular panel or cartouche occupying the central field, a format closely following the Ghaznavid epigraphic tradition inherited by Khwarazmian successor coinage. The lines contain the kalima or ruler's titles and name referencing Sultan Muhammad II. The panel is framed by a plain linear border, itself surrounded by a dotted outer border consistent with the hammered fabric of the flan.
