| Reverse description | Within a central circular border, a multi-line Arabic inscription in Kufic script reads: 'Adl / Shihab al-Dawla / wa qutb al-millat / abu 'l-fath / Mawdud', presenting the honorific titles and name of the Ghaznavid ruler Mawdud. A secondary Arabic marginal legend encircles the central medallion outside the border. The epigraphy is characteristic of mid-eleventh century Ghaznavid administrative titulature, combining religious and dynastic epithets in a concentric layout standard for jitals of this period. |
