| Beschrijving voorzijde | Highly stylised representation of a recumbent bull facing left, rendered in a geometric, almost abstract manner characteristic of late Ghaznavid coinage. The bull's body is delineated by bold, angular lines within the coin's field. Above the bull appears the Brahmi or Sharada legend 'sri sama' in a geometric arrangement. The overall design reflects the synthesis of pre-Islamic Indian iconographic traditions with Islamic coinage practices typical of the Ghaznavid rulers of Lahore. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse bears a bold multi-line Arabic inscription filling the entire field in angular, almost Kufic-influenced script, arranged in three or four horizontal registers across the flan. The legend reads 'al-sultan al-a'zam taj al-daula khusru malik', identifying the issuer as Sultan Khusrau Malik with his full royal titulature. The lettering is deeply struck and highly stylised, consistent with the degenerate Kufic style characteristic of late Ghaznavid hammered billon jitals struck at the Lahore mint. |
