The inscription, struck in a bold but irregular Kufic-influenced script, carries the name and titles of Sultan Jalal ad-Din Mangubarni, last ruler of the Khwarazmian Empire. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular planchet shape and weak peripheral strike typical of late Khwarazmian bronze coinage. Surface patination is dark brown with areas of natural oxidation consistent with burial or long-term circulation. |
