Muhammad II's Khwarezmian Empire was, by 1218, the largest Islamic state in the world — and within five years it would be functionally erased by the Mongol invasions. The decision to reject Genghis Khan's 1218 trade delegation and execute his envoys triggered a campaign of annihilation that destroyed the empire's mint cities one by one. Naghara, a secondary mint in this network, is poorly attested in the historical record, making Tye 295 attribution pieces rarer in the trade than those of the major urban mints like Samarqand or Urgench.
