| Reverse description | The reverse bears a three-line Arabic Kalima (Islamic profession of faith) legend arranged horizontally across the field: 'La ilaha illa Allah / Muhammad rasul Allah' (There is no god but God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God), with the Abbasid Caliph's honorific title 'al-Nasir li-Din Allah' (Helper of the Religion of God) in the lower field, acknowledging Abbasid suzerainty. The inscription is struck in a rough, provincial hammered style typical of Khwarazmian subsidiary mints, with slightly uneven letter forms due to the irregular flan. A simple dotted or plain circular border frames the legend. |
