Obverse description Central field features the mint name inscription of Kurzuwan within a raised inner circle, rendered in Kufic-influenced Arabic script. A marginal legend encircles the inner circle, separated by a double linear border running close to the irregular flan edge. The strike is characteristic of hammered Khwarazmian jitals, with moderate relief and some flatness owing to the uneven flan. The overall design is purely epigraphic, consistent with the aniconic coinage tradition of the Khwarazmian dynasty.
