Obverse description Central field displays the coloured coat of arms of Arromanches-les-Bains in relief: a quartered shield bearing a golden lion passant on red in the upper half and a gold anchor with chain and star on blue in the lower half, surmounted by a mural crown. A large anchor in low relief occupies the background field on either side of the shield. The legend arcs along the left and right borders.

Reverse description The lower field depicts a detailed relief panorama of Arromanches-les-Bains showing the village, the coastline cliffs, the remains of the Mulberry artificial harbour in the sea, and a WWII tank in the foreground referencing the local museum exhibit. At 12 o'clock, the coloured coat of arms of Normandy — a red shield bearing three golden leopards — is displayed in relief. The legend arcs along the upper border.
