Reverse description The crowned arms of the Province of Languedoc displayed on an ornate cartouche-style shield bearing the Occitan cross (cross of Toulouse), surmounted by a count's crown with visible pearls. The shield is flanked by elaborate acanthus scrollwork and adorned at the base with a garland of flowers and foliage. The circular legend COM. OCCIT. 1789 appears around the upper field, with a beaded border.
