Obverse description A large, boldly modelled facing faun mask in high relief, depicting a bearded, grimacing satyr-like figure with wild curly hair, furrowed brow, and protruding tongue. The Latin legend curves along the left and right sides of the field, flanking the face. The designer's initials F H appear in the lower field to either side of the beard.

Reverse description Two reclining putti in high relief flank a large, heavily laden bunch of grapes suspended from a grapevine with broad leaves above. The composition is naturalistically rendered in the Art Nouveau taste. The engraver's signature F. HÖRNLEIN appears in the lower field, with the maker's mark G&S to the right.
