| Obverse description | The field is divided into two registers within a beaded border flanked by laurel branches. The upper register features a detailed relief of the Eiffel Tower radiating sunbeams with the date 1889 in the exergue, surmounted by the legend IN MEMORIAM. The lower register contains two circular vignettes: the left depicting the Concorde aircraft in flight dated 1969, and the right showing an astronaut on the lunar surface with a flag dated 1969, with ANNÉE 2009 in the lower field. |
