| Beschrijving voorzijde | Barbarous imitation bust of Emperor Constans I facing right, depicted diademed with rosettes, draped and cuirassed. The effigy is rendered in a crude, provincial style characteristic of unofficial struck imitations, with simplified facial features and roughly incised drapery folds. A partial and garbled legend surrounds the bust in the field. The irregular flan edges and summary workmanship are consistent with a barbarous copy of Treveri mint prototypes. |
