Reverse description Tyche of Anazarbus seated left upon a rocky outcrop or throne, wearing a turreted crown, holding a rudder or sceptre in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left, emblematic of the city's prosperity and its status as metropolis. To the right of the central figure, the letter Β appears in the field, indicating the coin's denomination or a civic distinction. In the exergue, the date legend ΕΤ ΑΞϹ (Year 261 of the local Anazarbus era, corresponding to AD 242–243) is inscribed. The surrounding legend ΑΝΑΖΑΡΒΟΥ ΕΝΔΟΞ ΜΗΤΡΟ identifies the city as the glorious metropolis of Anazarbus. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded border.
