Two pellets appear in the field, serving as value marks consistent with the hexas denomination. The abbreviated ethnic legend ΣΕΓ EΣΤΑΙ is distributed around the hound in Greek characters. The composition is characteristic of Siculo-Elymian civic bronze coinage of the early fourth century BC.
