| Obverse description | Facing gorgoneion rendered in archaic style, occupying the full field of the flan. The apotropaic mask features a broad, grimacing visage with deeply set eyes, a wide nose, and an open mouth with protruding tongue. The surrounding hair is rendered as a writhing, serpentine mass radiating outward from the face, characteristic of late fifth-century Sicilian bronze coinage. No legend or border is present. |

| Reverse description | Plain, slightly convex field bearing two raised pellets placed side by side in the center, serving as the denomination mark indicating two twelfths of a litra (hexas). The surrounding border is formed by a rough, irregular rim consistent with the hammered fabric of the flan. The field is otherwise entirely blank, without inscription or additional device. |
