Obverse description Draped male bust facing left, rendered in the schematised Celtic artistic tradition derived from Hellenistic prototypes. The hair is elaborately rendered with a braided or torque-like diadem across the crown and flowing striated locks curling at the neck. A stylised branching tree or plant motif occupies the left field before the face, while a ribbon or torque element appears in the field behind the head. The facial features — large almond-shaped eye, broad nose, and parted lips — are characteristic of late La Tène die engraving.

Additional information

The Boii were expelled from their Bohemian territory by the Marcomanni around 50 BC, an event that effectively ended their capacity for organized minting. Coins attributed to the "Titto type" — named for the abbreviated inscription read as a personal name, unusual for Celtic issues — belong to the late phase of Boian production, when contact with Roman coinage was already reshaping the weight standards of trans-alpine silver.

The inscription itself remains disputed; whether it denotes a tribal leader, a moneyer, or something else entirely has not been resolved in the literature.
