| 裏面の説明 | Rider on horseback advancing to right, depicted in a dynamic Celtic stylisation with the horse rendered with characteristic abstracted musculature. An ivy tendril (hedera) decorates the field above the horse. The legend IANTV-MARVS, partially ligate, is disposed around the type, naming the issuing authority or tribal magistrate associated with this emission. The composition reflects the Boian adoption of Hellenistic equestrian reverse types adapted to native Celtic aesthetic conventions. |

The Boii were driven from their Pannonian territories by the Dacians under Burebista around 60–50 BC, a catastrophic displacement that effectively ended their capacity as an organized political entity in central Europe. Coinage attributed to the "Iantumarus" type almost certainly belongs to this late, compressed phase of Boian output — struck by a people already in the process of dissolution. The type name derives from a Celtic personal name read from die inscriptions, one of the few instances where a Boian moneyer or chieftain can be tentatively identified by name rather than typology alone.
