Obverse description Two male figures rendered in the Celtic La Tène artistic style, depicted in vigorous combat or wrestling posture occupying the central field. The figures are shown with stylized musculature and dynamic limb positions characteristic of Boian Celtic coinage. The design is executed in high relief with the typically bold, abstracted plasticity of late Celtic silver coinage from the Bratislava oppidum region. The flan is irregular with a raised rim, and the field shows the rough, striated surface typical of hammered Celtic issues.
