| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing lion's head in high relief, rendered with bold, stylised mane radiating outward from the face in deeply incised ridges; the broad muzzle, flattened nose, and prominent brow ridges are characteristic of the Panticapaean engraving tradition. The face occupies most of the flan, with the mane extending to the coin's edge. The design is executed in a vigorous archaic style consistent with early fourth-century BC Bosporan coinage. |

In the upper field, the Greek inscription ΠΑΝ identifies the mint city of Panticapaeum. In the lower field, a six-pointed star serves as a mint symbol, a device commonly associated with Panticapaean small silver coinage of this period.
