| Beschrijving keerzijde | Incuse square punch of irregular form, occupying most of the reverse flan, with a rough, striated surface characteristic of archaic hammered coinage. The incuse depression is deep and uneven, showing the typical fabric of a hand-struck hemiobol of this period. Within the incuse, faint traces of a design — possibly a simplified mussel or abstract pattern — may be discerned, though heavily worn. No inscription or legend is present. The overall appearance is consistent with the reverse treatment of small fractional silver coinages from the Aeolian cities of the late fifth century BC. |
