Obverse description Armed horseman to right on rearing horse, the rider equipped with bow and spear in a dynamic hunting pose. A hound running to right is depicted in the lower field beneath the horse. The design is executed in the vigorous Hellenistic style characteristic of Ionian civic bronzes of the late fourth to early third century BC. The flan is irregular, and surface detail is worn but the principal compositional elements remain identifiable.

Reverse description Apollo standing to right, holding a lyre in his right hand and a strigil (coat hook) in his left hand; a tripod is depicted above in the upper field. The figure of Apollo reflects the standard Kolophonian civic type closely associated with the god's cult at nearby Klaros. The Greek legend naming the magistrate and the civic ethnic is disposed in the field around the deity.
