Obverse description Half of a Boeotian shield rendered in high relief, occupying the central field, its characteristic cutouts clearly defined at the lower portion. The design is enclosed within a radiating border of short, incuse rays forming a dentilated outer ring, a hallmark of Boeotian federal coinage of this period. The flan is irregular, as typical of small hammered fractional silver issues.

Reverse description A horizontal club, handle oriented to the right, occupying the central field in raised relief, serving as the principal type associated with Herakles and the city of Thebes. The abbreviated ethnic legend ΘΕBA is inscribed horizontally above the club. Below the club, a small ivy leaf is positioned to the left, serving as an additional civic or magistrate symbol. The reverse field is plain, and the flan edges are characteristically irregular for a hammered fractional issue.
