Kleitor was a minor Arkadian city-state whose coinage output was extremely limited, and the hemiobol represents the smallest denomination in what was already a sparse series. The BCD collection — assembled by a single anonymous European collector over decades — contained one of the most complete runs of Arkadian regional bronzes and silvers ever assembled, and the cataloguing of lot 1417 gave scholars their clearest framework yet for attributing these fractional pieces with confidence.
