| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing left, the idealized head of Persephone is rendered in fine Syracusan style, her flowing hair bound with a wreath of grain ears, evoking her role as goddess of the harvest and the underworld. The hair falls in thick, naturalistic waves behind the neck, and a poppy head is visible in the field to the rear, a further attribute of the goddess. The circular legend ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΟΝ runs along the upper periphery, identifying the issuing city.
