Reverse description A boar advancing to the right, rendered with compact musculature and a raised bristled dorsal ridge, standing on a plain ground line. Above the boar, the abbreviated civic ethnic inscription appears in the upper field. The boar is a common civic symbol on the coinage of Abakainon, rendered in a bold, simplified style typical of small Sicilian silver issues of the late fifth century BC.
