| Obverse description | Forepart of a bearded, horned, and winged human-headed bull (river god or man-headed monster) facing left, rendered in archaic relief with fine incised detail on the mane, horn, and folded wing. The creature's muscular chest and curving wing feathers are prominently modelled, filling the small flan. The style is consistent with early Sicilian coinage of the fifth century BC, displaying vigorous archaic workmanship. |
