| Obverse description | Eagle standing to right, wings spread, clutching a hare in its talons; the bird is rendered with bold, deeply cut feather detail characteristic of late fifth-century Sicilian bronze coinage. The abbreviated ethnic legend ΑΚΓΑ appears in the left field in Greek characters. The composition fills the flan with a strong, confident artistic style typical of the Akragantine mint. |

| Reverse description | Crab seen from above, rendered frontally with prominent claws and articulated legs extending to either side; a small flower or rosette ornament appears above between the claws, serving as a civic badge of Akragas. In the lower exergual area, a crayfish or prawn is depicted in profile to the left, flanked by two pellets representing the six units of the hemilitron denomination. The reverse design is a hallmark type of Akragantine bronze coinage of this period. |
