Obverse description Facing gorgoneion depicted en face, rendered in archaic style characteristic of late 5th-century Sicilian bronzes. The apotropaic visage displays large, deeply set eyes with pronounced brow ridges, furrowed cheeks, and a protruding tongue issuing from the open mouth. Serpentine hair radiates outward around the face, framing the fearsome countenance. The relief is bold and the casting well defined, with the grotesque features conveying the apotropaic power associated with the Gorgon type. No legend or inscription appears in the field.

Reverse description Plain field bearing six raised pellets arranged in two rows of three, serving as the mark of value denoting the hemilitron, equivalent to six onkiai within the Siculo-Greek litra system. The pellets are evenly spaced and boldly cast, with no surrounding inscription or additional decorative elements. The flan surface shows the characteristic rough texture of cast bronze coinage. The simplicity of the design reflects the utilitarian nature of this fractional bronze denomination.
