Reverse description Quadripartite incuse square divided into four roughly equal recessed compartments by a raised cross, the whole sunken deeply into the flan in the characteristic early archaic punch technique. The surface within the compartments is irregular and granular, consistent with hand-struck electrum coinage of the late 7th to early 6th century BC. No inscription or subsidiary device is present. The incuse square is well-centred on the broadly irregular flan.
