The composition fills the flan dynamically, conveying vigorous movement characteristic of the Kyzikene engraving tradition. In the lower field, a tunny fish swims to the left, serving as the city's distinctive civic badge and a constant type-marker on Kyzikene electrum coinage. No inscription or legend is present. The surfaces display the warm golden-yellow hue typical of high-quality Kyzikene electrum alloy. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A quadripartite incuse square occupies the entire reverse field, divided by two perpendicular raised ridges into four recessed compartments of roughly equal size, each with a granular, hammered surface texture. The incuse is deeply struck and precisely delineated, with sharply defined internal angles meeting at a central boss. This characteristic mill-sail or windmill pattern is the standard reverse type for Kyzikene fractional electrum coinage of the fifth and fourth centuries BC. No legend, symbol, or additional device is present. |
