| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena in left profile, wearing a crested Attic helmet with a long cheek-guard extending to the jaw. The effigy is rendered in archaic Greek style with a prominent almond-shaped eye and stylized beard-like chin detail. Below the bust, a tunny fish is depicted in left profile, serving as the civic symbol of Kyzikos. The entire design is set within a plain round field with no legend or inscription. |

| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square divided by two perpendicular grooves into four recessed compartments of roughly equal size, alternating in depth and surface texture, producing a windmill-like effect characteristic of early Kyzikene electrum coinage. The incuse is boldly struck and deeply impressed. No legend or subsidiary device is present. |
