Obverse description Bare, radiate head of Divus Augustus facing left, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Cretan civic coinage of the early Imperial period. The portrait displays the characteristic solar radiate crown associated with the deified Augustus, with fine hair strands visible beneath. The Greek legend ΙϹΑΡ ϹΕΒΑ is disposed around the effigy within the irregular flan, and a dotted border frames the design.
