| Beschrijving keerzijde | Within a wreath of laurel or olive branches, the Achaean League monogram — comprising the letters ΑΧ interlaced — appears at center, with the magistrate's name rendered as ΜΕ above and ΝΙ (or ΝΥ) below, the letters arranged around the monogram. At the lower portion of the field, within the wreath, a flying eagle to left is depicted as the civic symbol of Sikyon. The wreath is carefully engraved with individual leaves and berries. |

The Achaean League's hemidrachm coinage from this terminal phase was struck against the backdrop of mounting Roman interference in Greek affairs — the same decades that saw Rome manipulate League politics, demand hostages (including the historian Polybius), and ultimately dismantle the confederation entirely after Corinth's destruction in 146 BC. Sikyon, as one of the League's prominent minting cities, continued production until near that abrupt end.
The 146 BC terminus is hard. Rome's sack of Corinth ended the League, and Sikyon absorbed Corinth's surviving population by Roman directive.
