Reverse description Facing bull's head set within a square incuse punch, rendered in high relief with pronounced horns and naturalistic musculature. The ethnic inscription ΚΕΡΑ appears to the left and ΠΟΛΙ to the right of the bull's head, divided on either side within the incuse square, identifying the issuing city of Keramos and the magistrate Polites. The bold incuse square frame is a hallmark of early Carian silver coinage.
