Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic style characteristic of Bosporan coinage of the mid-second century BC. The laureate wreath is rendered with individual berries and leaves visible around the crown of the head. The facial features, though worn, retain the idealized youthful character typical of Apollo's iconography. The flan is irregular, as is common for hammered issues of this series.
