Hemidrachm - Nambed

Persis survived as a semi-autonomous kingdom under Parthian overlordship by presenting itself as the custodel of Achaemenid tradition — its rulers styled themselves as priest-kings rather than political sovereigns, which likely explains their tolerance by Parthian administration. The Nambed issues fall within a contested period of Persid dynastic succession, and Alram's sequencing of these rulers remains provisional given the absence of dated inscriptions on the coinage itself.

The hemidrachm denomination reflects the continued use of a fractional Greek weight standard in a region that had long since abandoned Greek political control.
