| Reverse description | Fire altar depicted at centre, with two flame tongues rising from the altar top, the flames rendered in the standard Sasanian convention. Diadems of Type G hang from the altar structure. No pellet is present to the right of the altar shaft, a distinguishing diagnostic feature of this subtype. The composition is austere and hieratic, reflecting the Zoroastrian religious symbolism central to Sasanian royal iconography. An inscription in Inscriptional Pahlavi appears in the field flanking the altar. |
