| Obverse description | Radiate head of Helios in three-quarter facing view turned slightly to the right, rendered in high relief with characteristic flowing hair arranged in undulating locks radiating outward from the crown. The face displays the idealized Hellenistic style typical of Rhodian coinage, with softly modeled features including a straight nose, slightly parted lips, and a serene expression. The radiating hair serves as the solar emblem of the sun god, a hallmark of the Rhodian mint's artistic tradition throughout the Plinthophoric period. |
