| Reverse description | A fully opened rose with stem and leaves occupies the central field, with a rose bud to the right and a bee depicted below to the left, all enclosed within a shallow incuse square border. The rose is the civic symbol of Rhodes and dominates the design, rendered with carefully detailed petals. The magistrate's name ΑΝΤΙΠΑΤΡΟΣ appears in the field along with the ethnic abbreviation P O (for ΡΟΔΙΩΝ), identifying both the issuing authority and the responsible magistrate. The incuse square framing is characteristic of the Plinthophoric series issued by Rhodes during the late Hellenistic period. |
