The rose is the civic symbol of Rhodes and dominates the design, rendered with carefully detailed petals. The magistrate's name ΑΝΤΙΠΑΤΡΟΣ appears in the field along with the ethnic abbreviation P O (for ΡΟΔΙΩΝ), identifying both the issuing authority and the responsible magistrate.
