Obverse description Schematized and stylized helmeted bust of Athena facing right, rendered in a distinctly South Arabian idiom with bold, abstracted features characteristic of Qatabanian imitative coinage. The helmet is rendered with pronounced cheekpieces, and the facial features — large almond-shaped eyes, broad nose, and defined chin — are depicted in a highly conventionalized manner. A mark of value appears on the cheek. South Arabian monogram characters are visible in the lower field, reflecting local adaptation of the Athenian prototype.
