Reverse description A winged thunderbolt depicted frontally at center, with voluted wings spreading symmetrically to either side and a pointed shaft extending downward, all rendered in fine archaic relief. The letters F and A flank the thunderbolt to the left and right respectively, representing the abbreviated ethnic legend of Elis-Olympia. The entire design is enclosed within a wreath of olive leaves, a reference to the sacred olive crown awarded at the Olympic Games.
