| 裏面の説明 | Quadripartite incuse square divided by a raised linear cross into four equal compartments, two of which are left plain while the remaining two contain symbolic devices: a stylized floral or leaf motif in the upper left quarter, and a pellet together with a recumbent archaic letter (lunate epsilon or comparable symbol) in the lower right quarter. The alternating incuse and relief treatment of the quarters is characteristic of the standard reverse type of Chersonesos hemidrachms throughout the 4th century BC. |
